Welcome. This site will describe Breakthrough, a role-playing game that's intended to emulate a TV series (specifically, a college drama) set in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA. Most of the recurring characters are involved in some sort of research. These people are regular folks, trying to get by in the regular world. They do their best to cope with the trials and tribulations of day-to-day life. Since they're researchers, they occasionally manage to rise above the daily grind to discover some really neat things. But there's a downside to discovery. Once you learn something, you can't unlearn it. It's like taking the red pill in The Matrix -- there's no going back.
