The Morning Call used to provide online access to their older articles free of charge. That was back when their search engine didn't work. The search engine always returned zero hits, but you had the comfort of knowing that if you had found anything, you could read it for free.

Now that the Morning Call has fixed its search engine and it actually returns hits, they charge you to read the articles. 

Doesn't that just figure?

So we decided that Doug's father, being a disreputable lawyer, has an account with the Morning Call archive service so that he can look up the full text of past articles. Doug charged this article to his father's account.
