All the way from Australia, New York Times–bestselling author Andy Griffiths, who wrote the Treehouse series, KILLER KOALAS FROM OUTER SPACE, THE BIG FAT COW THAT GOES KAPOW, THE CAT ON THE MAT IS FLAT, and THE DAY MY BUTT WENT PSYCHO! will be at An Unlikely Story for a joint event with our own Jeff Kinney. Andy will be introducing his newest book in the Treehouse series, The 65-Story Treehouse. Andy and Jeff have done events together in Australia and Chicago, and now they will be here in Plainville together! There will most likely be a draw-off (Andy can't draw) and lots of laughs. Following the presentation, both Andy and Jeff will be signing their books.
Once everyone is seated in the live presentation, we will fill any empty seats with those in the overflow area. Those who reserve overflow tickets will be given a numbered ticket when they arrive the day of the event. This number will be their place on the wait list for the live presentation, as well as their place in the signing line. After the presentation, you will join the signing line to get your books signed by Andy and Jeff.
ABOUT THE BOOK:
New York Times–bestselling author Andy Griffiths invites readers to travel through time with him and his friend Terry in this fifth Treehouse chapter book, filled with their signature slapstick humor!
Andy and Terry live in a 65-story treehouse. (It used to be 52 stories, but they keep expanding.) It has a pet-grooming salon, a birthday room where it's always your birthday (even when it's not), a room full of exploding eyeballs, a lollipop shop, a quicksand pit, an ant farm, and a time machine . . . which is going to be really, really useful now, since Terry messed up (again) and the treehouse just FAILED its safety inspection.
Join Andy and Terry on a whirlwind trip through time as they try to stop the treehouse from being demolished!
