This summer we are excited to host a series of Stories and Art Workshops for school-age children on Tuesday afternoons from 3-4. Each week we will be reading a variety of engaging and entertaining picture books focused around a theme followed by creative art exploration activities. Our art activities are inspired by Barbara Rucci’s (author of Art Workshops for Children) approach to fostering creativity and original thinking through process art experiences.
The book titles we will be choosing are longer and more sophisticated than our Friday morning stories, and our art activities will require a certain level of fine motor skills. Children must be 5 years or older to register and our workshops will be limited to 24 children each week. There will be a registration fee of $7
Kings & Queens: We will be reading King Hugo’s Huge Ego by Chris Van Dusen and The Princess and the Warrior by Duncan Tonatiuh. Our activity will be creating paper bag crowns.
