Full Time Line Cook

An Unlikely Story is currently looking for an upbeat, enthusiastic full-time line cook for our kitchen. It is important for us to have the right people in the right position who are able to function seamlessly together and be committed to creating a fun, engaging and friendly environment for our customers and each other. Your schedule will include weekend shifts.

Bookseller/Event Coordinator

An Unlikely Story is looking for a highly motivated, energetic book lover to sell merchandise and books as well as coordinate the calendar for our Second Story function space. The Bookseller/Event Coordinator is responsible for maintaining efficient utilization and orderly operations in the Second Story event space, which is shared among An Unlikely Story, the Program Director, private renters and the building’s owners. This person must be well organized and able to communicate effectively with all levels of customers and staff members. 

The requirements for this position are: a Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a concentration in event management and/or communications OR equivalent work experience and a minimum of two years in the retail or hospitality industry, with one year in event planning or event management. The ideal candidate would also be proficient in graphic design software and social media marketing. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, which will involve evening and weekend shifts.

This is a full-time position with generous benefits. The salary is commensurate with experience.
