Others have done a very good job of describing Torg. Attempting to duplicate their efforts would be both wasteful and well beyond the scope of this work. Instead, I refer you to web pages by Kansas Jim Ogle and Tim Bailey. From either of these, you can get to many other places in the Torg universe.

However, if you can't wait to get an idea of what Torg is all about, here's a very brief description:

In the "Near Now," Earth finds itself the subject of massive invasions by creatures from other dimensions... other realities. Where these creatures have taken territory, their reality holds sway. In these places, our guns may stop working, while the invaders pelt us with powerful spells or call down upon us fearsome miracles.

Fortunately for us, some of the invaders are insurgents. They oppose the invasions. They fight alongside Earth's natives, against their former masters.

Torg is the multigenre role-playing game by West End Games, wherein the players take part in this most epic of battles: the battle for Earth's freedom. For Earth's reality.
