3…2…1…BLAST OFF in a special space-themed musical storytime with local musician and author Amanda Maffei. Amanda will read her picture book WHERE ARE SAM & GRACE, about two foster siblings that cross the galaxy in a fun and beautifully illustrated journey. Join Amanda for a galactical storytime with original music that the kids will love, followed by a craft. Like our normal Friday storytimes, there will be one at 10:00am and one at 11:30am. Only children need to be registered for this event.
Registration for both storytimes will open one week before its start.

Rocketeer foster siblings Sam and Grace, who is in a wheelchair, travel to remarkable places in outer space. In this fun and playful story about family, curiosity, and friendship, children will also learn fun facts about outer space.

Amanda Maffei has worked with children for many years as an entertainer, storyteller, music teacher, musical theater director, and camp counselor. An adept entertainer, musician, and writer, Maffei explores myriad sounds, feels, and themes in her music. Maffei has opened for and shared the stage with Bill Staines, Jake Armerding, Tracy Chapman, The James Montgomery Band, Loren & Mark, Guy Carawan, Cris Williamson, and many other talented musicians.
