Beginner Sewing Workshop

Join the Creative Sewing Studio for a one-day beginner sewing class. In this class, sewing instructor Mikala Cash will teach attendees how to use a sewing machine, while creating their own 14x14 decorative pillow. Choose from dozens of fabrics and supplies, all provided by Mikala, and make wonderful gifts or keepsakes. If attendees do not have their own sewing machine they can bring, they will be able to borrow one during the workshop. This class is recommended for ages 18 and up.

The Creative Sewing Studio opened in 2007 first as a custom handbag and clothing business that has since evolved into a thriving sewing, fashion and art studio for adults and children. Owner, Mikala Cash, began sewing at the age of six and received formal training while enrolled in the fashion program at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Mikala has worked as a stitcher and dresser for various theatre and fashion companies throughout New England. In addition, she has taught sewing classes for various organizations and schools in the northeast including, the Attleboro Arts Museum, School One and The Omega Institute for Holistic Studies.
