Beginner Sewing Workshop

Join Mikala Cash, with The Creative Sewing Studio for a one-day beginner sewing workshop. In this fun and educational class, participants will learn how to thread and sew on a sewing machine, create bobbins, and make their very own 14x14 decorative pillow. Supplies will be provided, along with dozens of fabrics to choose from. These pillows make wonderful gifts for the holidays or keepsakes. Feel free to bring your own sewing machine or borrow one during the workshop. Recommended for ages 18 and over.


The Creative Sewing Studio opened in 2007 first as a custom handbag and clothing business that has since evolved into a thriving sewing, fashion and art studio for adults and children. Owner, Mikala Cash, began sewing at the age of six and received formal training while enrolled in the fashion program at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Mikala has worked as a stitcher and dresser for various theatre and fashion companies throughout New England. In addition, she has taught sewing classes for various organizations and schools in the northeast including, the Attleboro Arts Museum, School One and The Omega Institute for Holistic Studies.
