Have you always wanted to play an instrument? Join THE UKE KIDS UNLIKELY STRUMMERS for 6 weeks of fun learning the fundamentals of playing the ukulele. No prior musical experience is necessary. Children will learn basic chords, rhythms, and strums. Each child ought to come prepared to class with his/her own SOPRANO or ALTO/CONCERT ukulele and music stand. An electronic tuning device such as a Snark Tuner is also recommended. (Note: This program is geared towards Soprano or Alto/Concert Ukes only because the tuning for baritone and tenor ukulele is different and therefore the chords will also be different.) Parents and guardians are also welcomed to join this program with their child.
This class is offered for six weeks on the dates below.
If you have any questions about this course or to obtain a recommendation on a ukulele, contact Cindy at Cynthia_Miller@emerson.edu.
