Memory, Musing & Memoir Writing Program

Whether we wish to leave a legacy for our loved ones or simply keep a memory alive, when writing a memoir, we embark on a personal journey. Sometimes this journey can tell the story of what brought us from tragedy to transformation. It may also reveal wisdom, wit, or warm the heart. "Memory, Musing, and Memoir" will help participants find their muse in memoir writing. Reflect, recall, and write the stories that are longing to be told.

This four-week program (recommend for adults) will held on Wednesday evenings from 6pm-7:30pm beginning February 19th through March 11th. Attendees should bring either a journal, notebook, and a pen or pencil or a laptop.

Contemporary mythologist, Dr. Angelina Avedano explores grief, transformation, and creative processes. Cycles of life, death, and rebirth inform her approach to creativity, healing, and metamorphosis. Her recent memoir, Mother Odyssey, elaborates on grief as a catalyst for personal transformation. As an Assistant Professor of English, Angelina teaches writing and literature at Massasoit Community College. She has launched CycADA Personal Metamorphosis and can be contacted at
