The Most Wonderful Time of the Year Writing Workshop

The holidays are coming! For many of us, the next few weeks will usher in Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas Eve, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and New Year’s. Stop and ask yourself how this makes you feel. Troubled? Harried? Torn? Joy? Fear? Lonely? Angry? Overwhelmed? A wee bit queasy?

We’re all human and have strong feelings about this time of year. So, here’s your chance to write it all down in personal essay form. Led by New York Times, Associated Press and Chronicle featured author and speaker, Nicole Cannella, this two-night workshop will endeavor to bring awareness to our emotions around holidays past and present through prompts that allow us to go deeper while getting lighter and more self-aware through the written word.

No writing experience necessary, just a pen, paper, time set aside for yourself, and a willingness to open up to a small room of people who get it. This workshop is recommended for adults and will take place on Wednesday, November 13th and Friday, November 15th at 7pm.

Nicole Cannella is the author of Leaving A Mark, The Good Book’s Guide to Animal Tails, and The Ribbit Exhibit. Her work has been seen in the New York Times as well as in the Associated Press. She has collaborated on the children's works, The ABCs of Love and Try. Her work encourages people to feel loved and celebrated in what makes them unique, while aiming to teach sacred lessons through literature. Nicole speaks and teaches on her works and beliefs at various conferences and colleges when not at home in New England with her husband Jay, son Nick, and two daughters Olivia and Noelle.
