The Nocturnals Storytime with Tracey Hecht

Join us for a special themed storytime for all Nocturnals' fans! Tracey Hecht, the author of the popular children's series, The Nocturnals, will lead a reading of Moonlight Meeting and Slithery Shakedown. There will be face-painting, stickers, brigade capes, and a very cool animal mask craft for the kids. Perfect for school-aged children 5 and up! Only children need to be registered for this event.

ABOUT THE SERIES:
Now children ages 5-7 can join the trio of unlikely animal friends in a new Grow & Read Early Reader story with the Nocturnal Brigade. In The Moonlight Meeting, Tobin, a sweet pangolin, Bismark, a loud-mouthed sugar glider, and Dawn, a serious fox, introduce their nighttime world to early readers. The story emphasizes friendship, sharing, and humor. Includes bonus animal glossary.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Tracey Hecht has written, directed, and produced for film. The American Bookselling Association chose the first book in her critically acclaimed middle grade series, The Nocturnals: The Mysterious Abductions, as a Kids’ Indie Next List pick. Last year, she expanded the series to include early reader books, The Moonlight Meeting and The Slithery Shakedown, for younger children so that families could share the reading experience together. In partnership with the New York Public Library, Tracey created a Read Aloud Writing Program that she has since conducted in over seventy schools, libraries, and bookstores across the country – both in person and virtually. Tracey has also been a panelist for the Americans Booksellers Association’s ABC Children’s Institute on how to run successful virtual author visits. She currently splits her time between New York City and Oquossoc, Maine, with her husband, four children, and puppy, Penny.
